Iconic Restaurants You Grew Up With And No Longer Exist

Doggie Diner, 1948-1986

Doggie Diner is another fast-food chain that had to lose its place due to the high competition in the market. The restaurant had its first location in Oakland and expanded to San Francisco owing to its popularity among the people. Founded in 1948, the iconic hot-dog and hamburger joints could not keep people hooked to it even by the cute mascot of delicious food as people started exploring other food options. And the food chain had to shut down in 1986 after striving for survival along with McDonald’s and Burger King.
