Burger Queen, 1956

We all know about Burger King, but let’s not forget about Burger Queen either. The 1956 restaurant offered burgers and fried chicken with a salad bar, which was not very common at the burger joints, and soon, Burger Queen expanded to over 50 locations. Burger Queen, founded in Florida, was later named to Druther’s to signify their menu offering other than burgers. But the management changed the decision and altered the outlook of the chain to that of a dairy one, marketed as Dairy Queen. Now, there is only one location of Druther’s in Kentucky.
